The 500 E was dubbed the “King of the Autobahn” in the 1990s. This Mercedes was regarded as revolutionary, as it was the first sports car to join the phalanx of the sports car elite in the guise of a standard saloon. Some engine parts were developed at Porsche in Zuffenhausen and final assembly also took place at the Porsche plant in Stuttgart. Painted in blue-black and very well equipped, this wide-body monster is still in its original condition today, after more than thirty years.
