This vehicle, first registered in 1986, is an original SL 560 Type R107 and was converted by tuning specialist König in Munich. The front bumper, rear spoiler, sills, and fenders were modified, and the doors were also given a facelift. According to Mr. König, around 50 R107 vehicles were converted. Delivery and initial registration took place in California in July 1986. According to the Carfax report, the first owner, Dennis Ripey, drove the beautiful König conversion for almost 99,000 miles until the end of 2020. Several service invoices and TÜV reports from this period are available, so the mileage is very easy to trace. Dennis Ripey then sold the vehicle to Louis Reavis, who had the beautiful Mercedes extensively serviced for just under $3,000. On November 25, 2020, the current owner purchased the vehicle and then imported it to Germany. On May 10, 2021, the current owner registered the vehicle after having it inspected by the TÜV for an H license plate. A Classic Data appraisal dated June 15, 2021, certifies that the car is in above-average condition with a grade of 2 and a vehicle value of approximately €70,000. In November 2025, the wide-body monster received a new TÜV (MOT) inspection.
