This beautiful and extraordinary SL was delivered to its first owner on July 25, 1957, via Studebaker in New Orleans. A Daimler Benz vehicle card from 1957 is available, certifying the vehicle’s originality and extras. The documents also include an original US title from the state of California from 1985. In 2009, the vehicle was imported back to Germany and extensively restored by a specialist company over a period of almost two years and painted in its original color. The restoration by Bechtel was carried out to perfection and documented with several hundred photos. On October 31, 2011, an experienced collector from North Rhine-Westphalia purchased the 190 SL and meticulously documented each of its trips. The beautiful Mercedes was driven only 2,033 km in total over 14 years, as evidenced by TÜV reports and service invoices. Several Classic Data reports are available, which diagnose the vehicle as being in almost perfect condition. This original 190 SL is a very rare opportunity to own and enjoy an almost perfect roadster in an exceptional color and condition. The vehicle is ready for immediate use. The next TÜV (MOT) inspection is due in 2027.
