This 230 SL has been in the family for 42 years, with only two registered owners in the vehicle registration document. In 1991, the vehicle was handed over to the son of the family, himself a master car mechanic, who wanted to restore the car. For personal reasons, the restoration was postponed until 2018. He acquired all the original Mercedes spare parts and devoted several years to completing the restoration himself. This also included the entire engine, transmission, and rear axle. In 2020, the renowned specialist workshop for Pagodas, Grosser from Menden, overhauled the steering, the convertible roof, the windows all around and their guides, and the front and rear axles, among other things. They then also took over the assembly of the vehicle. The car was fitted with new, perfect dark red leather upholstery, new carpeting, a new fabric soft top, and a new set of wood trim. All of the vehicle’s chrome parts were re-chromed or replaced and readjusted. A high-quality Mercedes-Benz 230 SL in a beautiful color combination, which has been driven very little since its restoration and is ready for its next tour.
