The Jeep CJ (or Civilian Jeep) was the civilian version of the famous military jeep from World War II. The first CJ (the CJ-2) was introduced by Willys-Overland in 1944, and its basic design remained unchanged across all seven generations and three parent companies until 1986. The Willys CJ-5 was influenced by the new owner, the Kaiser Corporation, as well as by the M38A1 Jeep from the Korean War. The CJ-5 followed this pattern and was produced for three decades.
The vehicle had a taller grille and a higher hood to accommodate the new 2.2-liter Willys Hurricane engine. This Jeep has been fantastically restored. Originally from France, it was imported to Germany in 1994. Since then, this vehicle has had only three owners. The current owner received the vehicle as a gift from his wife 21 years ago and has driven it only in good weather.
