In 2001, the VW Camper was sold to Ireland, and in 2013, the vehicle returned to Germany. In the Hanover area, the car was comprehensively restored to a very high standard by a specialist company between 2018 and 2019. No expense or effort was spared in the pursuit of perfection. The bodywork was beautifully restored, the interior completely renewed, and all mechanical components overhauled. During the restoration, the original 1600cc engine was optimized and now delivers approx. 80 hp.
