BMW 327 Sicken Convertible

For sale is an exceptionally elegant 1941 BMW 327 Cabriolet—a true classic with timeless lines and a history steeped in significance. It was first delivered on March 3, 1941, to Emil Stade of Bromberg in West Prussia. Stade was a BMW dealer and the winner of the Masuren Rally. He used this car as an escape vehicle. After the war, the BMW belonged to a police chief from Kassel, who registered it in his name in 1947. Student Isabell von Hahn purchased the car in 1962 and sold it a year later to her fellow student Manfred Hansmann. Mr. Hansmann later became a professor at the University of Bonn. From 1971 to 1974, this BMW was owned by Willi Martini, a well-known race car driver and team owner from Adenau near the Nürburgring at the time. In 1975, Jürgen Pollack bought the BMW and completely restored it for the first time.
From 2000 to 2001, the car underwent another extensive restoration. An eleven-page article in the BMW Veteranen Club magazine details its history and the scope of the restoration. Furthermore, this BMW was featured in six pages of Könemann’s comprehensive volume *BMW*, with photographs by Rainer Schlegelmich. The vehicle was acquired by its current owner 25 years ago. A comprehensive folder of documents confirms the car’s complete history. This BMW has been completely restored twice over the course of 85 years and is currently in very good condition, both visually and mechanically. The car is equipped with a 2.0-liter inline-six-cylinder engine producing 40 kW (54 PS), paired with a 4-speed manual transmission. Its top speed is approximately 150 km/h.
